There are Five stages in the vetting process:

Stage 1: School stage

Stage 2: JMB processes the application and submits the vetting application to the NVB.

Stage 3: An invitation to the e-vetting website is issued to the Vetting Subject from evetting.donotreply@garda.ie The relevant checks are completed by the NVB and a vetting disclosure issues to the JMB.

Stage 4: The disclosure is provided to the contact person (usually the principal) via the JMB Vetting Portal

Stage 5: The vetting process is only complete when the principal reviews and accepts the vetting disclosure/outcome.

The school should print two copies of the vetting disclosure, retain one copy in the school file and provide a hard copy to the Vetting Subject
