Overview

The JMB recognises the need to train and support new appointees to the post of Principal through providing a training programme incorporating three phases in their first year of appointment. Principals find this programme of great benefit to them in facing the tasks that lie ahead.

Phase 2 will consist of a two-day training programme.

  • Dynamics of Change Management 
  • Middle Leadership and Management 
  • Special and Inclusive Education 
  • An introduction to the Schools Procurement Unit (SPU)  
  • An introduction to Timetabling  & Allocations
  • Medmark-Occupational Health and Medical Services
  • Teacher Disciplinary Procedure
  • Code of Professional Conduct for Teachers and Professional Behaviour of Staff 
  • Anti-Bullying Policy & Harassment and Sexual Harassment Policy  
  • School Building Unit 
  • Leading Teaching and Learning, LAOS 22 and SSE

Cost

€250 (this does not include accommodation)
