Overview 

The JMB recognises the need to train and support new appointees to the post of Principal through providing a training programme incorporating three phases in their first year of appointment. Principals find this programme of great benefit to them in facing the tasks that lie ahead. 

Phase 2 will consist of a two-day training programme. 

Training programme to include:   

•        Dynamics of Change Management  

•        Biennial Review and Annual Review & Annual Report

•        Special and Inclusive Education  

•        An introduction to the Schools Procurement Unit (SPU)   

•        Introduction to Timetabling

•        Disciplinary Procedures for Teachers  

•        Code of Professional Conduct for Teachers

•        Harassment and Sexual Harassment Policy-Staff  

•        School Building Advisory  

•        Leading Learning and Teaching, LAOS 22 and SSE 

 Cost of training:  €250 (does not include accommodation)
