Online Training – Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Harassment

Online Training – Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Harassment

We are pleased to launch the online training platform in bullying in the workplace and harassment and sexual harassment in the workplace, in conjunction with Legal Island.

These training modules will assist schools in understanding the recognised best practice procedures in relation to these areas. There are also specific training modules on the roles of the Contact Person and the Nominated Person. All users will need to set up an individual account in order to access the platform and undertake the training.

Please follow the directions below:

1. Visit the JMB online training platform using this link

2. To create your account, click on “Create Your Account” under “New Users” on the right-hand side of the home page

3. Choose whatever username you wish (all lowercase)

4. Choose a password following the directions provided

5. Enter the following Enrolment Key: JMBLEARN24

6. Fill out the rest of your personal information

7. Select your school from the drop down menu beside “Organisation”

8. Click on “Create my new account” when you have completed all of the above. Once you have submitted the form you will have access to all courses on the training website.

There are 4 courses available and these should all be visible on the homepage. The four courses are as follows:

1. Harassment and Sexual Harassment Training

2. Workplace Bullying in Ireland

3. Workplace Bullying – Role of Contact Person

4. Workplace Bullying – Role of Nominated Person

The courses on Workplace Bullying in Ireland and Harassment and Sexual Harassment Training provide general training on best practices in managing these issues in the workplace. This training is relevant to all employees, including Principals, Deputy Principals, Teachers, SNAs and Ancillary Staff.

Further to these, the courses on Workplace Bullying – Role of the Contact Person and Workplace Bullying – Role of the Nominated Person are tailored to specifically train employees who will be acting as the Contact Person(s) or Nominated Person(s) in your school. It is important that the employees performing these roles in the school undertake these respective training modules, as mandated by the Code of Practice on Bullying in the Workplace. They should also undertake the training on Harassment and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. All of these courses will be available on this platform for the remainder of 2024 using the link provided above. We will be rolling out further training later this year also.
