This JMB webinar will identify the primary causes of data breaches in schools and clarify the practical actions that schools can take to minimise the possibility and impact of any data breach.
It will advise on the steps that management must take in the event of a personal data breach and include guidance on navigating the mandatory data breach notification regime.
The webinar will reference the JMB’s Procedure for Handling a Personal Data Breach, a key document for any school that is faced with managing a data breach event.

The webinar is aimed at school management, school administrative personnel, Board of Management members and any member of the school community who is involved in controlling data and responsible for ensuring compliance with the data protection and data breach notification regime.
