Budget 2020: 'As a teacher, I was delighted to see the allocation of €11bn, which shows that the minister recognises the importance of education'

Schools are struggling to cover their day-to-day costs, but are delighted with the record budget investment in education, a teacher has said.

Aoife Counihan, a teacher in Gorey Community School in Co Wexford, said that Government spending increase as part of Budget 2020 was needed so that schools can meet their running costs. Read article
