ASTI begin legal action against Government over ‘unfair’ penalties

The Irish Times: A second level teachers’ union has initiated legal proceedings against the Government over “unfair” financial penalties imposed following industrial action nearly three years ago.

The Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland (ASTI) estimates that thousands of its members have lost up anywhere between €1,000 and €3,000 following a nine-month freeze on incremental pay increases. Read article
